VidyaPeetam, a Sr. Secondary school, affiliated to CBSE New Delhi, English medium school was founded by Shri. T. S. Santhanam, Chairman of Brakes India Limited, TSF (erstwhile TVS) and is nurtured with care and concern by Sholinghur Development Trust with support from Brakes India Limited, TEL and other group of companies in Sholinghur area. The school was started to cater to the needs of employees of Brakes India and also for the local public. It is stepping into its 43rd year of dedicated service in the field of education. Further to the above, to impart the best of education with care, love and understanding with a view to instilling into children’s young minds early enough, the moral ethical values, strength of character, discipline, global outlook, firm faith in all religions and an abiding spirit of service and sacrifice, thus helping and encouraging them to develop a broader and healthier outlook

Focus is given to all round development of the students by providing activities like scouts and guides, Coaching for Cricket, Tennis, Karate, Dance “(both western and bharatanatyam)”, Drums and Keyboard.
All our scouts and guides have won the Rajya puraskar awards.Our students have been selected for inter-district cricket tournments.
Our students have won overall championships in inter school sports, quiz and cultural competitions several times.
